Guillermo da Silva was a Colombian artist of some note. He is now deceased.
This lively and colorful etching shows the considerable skill of the artist--and something of the twisty way he interpreted the world. A happy scene, La Piñata is populated by an unusual crowd of celebrants. Probably, the etching is later hand-colored. This is #4 of 200, and probably dates from the 1980s or 90s--not sure, as it is signed and numbered, but not dated.
Matted and framed, plexi covered, it is ready-to-hang.
